SilenceRadar Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

SilenceRadar ("we", "us", or "our") is a web application available at https://silenceradar.com that shows the Google Analytics 4 data of all your websites in one dashboard. This Privacy Policy explains what information SilenceRadar collects — including data received from Google APIs — and how we use, store, share, protect, and delete it.

2. Data Access: Google User Data We Access

SilenceRadar only accesses Google user data after you give permission on Google's consent screen. We request:

• Basic profile information (scopes openid, email, profile) when you sign in with Google: your name, email address, profile picture, and Google account ID.
• Read-only Google Analytics access (scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly) only when you click "Connect Google Analytics": the list of Google Analytics accounts and properties you can access, and the reports (such as users, sessions, page views, traffic sources, and real-time visitors) needed to draw your dashboard.

From this raw data, SilenceRadar computes aggregated values for your own dashboard only — for example totals across your properties, period-over-period comparisons, goal progress, and the expected values used for anomaly detection. We do not create anonymized data sets from Google user data.

SilenceRadar cannot create, change, or delete anything in your Google Analytics account.

3. Data Use: How We Use Google User Data

• Your profile information is used to create your SilenceRadar account, sign you in, and show your name and picture in the app.
• Your Google Analytics data is used only to display charts, tables, and metrics in your own dashboards, to evaluate the alerts and anomaly detection you turn on, and to build the scheduled email reports you set up.

These rules apply equally to raw Google user data and to any aggregated or anonymized data derived from it: we use it only to provide and improve the user-facing features of SilenceRadar described above. We never use it for advertising (including targeted, personalized, or interest-based ads), for credit or lending decisions, or to develop, improve, or train artificial intelligence or machine learning models.

4. Google API Services — Limited Use Disclosure

SilenceRadar's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Our people do not read your Google data unless you ask us to (for example, for support), it is needed for security purposes, or it is required by law.

5. What We Store

• Account information: your name, email address, profile picture URL, and Google account ID.
• Google OAuth tokens: the access and refresh tokens that let SilenceRadar read your Analytics data, encrypted with AES-GCM.
• Analytics property list: the names and IDs of your Google Analytics accounts and properties.
• Your settings: dashboards, widgets, goals, annotations, alerts, scheduled reports, and team sharing.
• Anomaly records: if you use anomaly detection, the metric name, value, expected value, and date of each detected anomaly.

Analytics reports are fetched from Google each time you view your dashboard and are not kept on our servers.

6. Data Sharing: Who Receives Google User Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade raw or aggregated/anonymized Google user data, and we never transfer it to advertisers, data brokers, information resellers, or third-party AI/ML services. It is shared only with the following types of parties, and only as needed to provide SilenceRadar's features:

• Infrastructure service providers (cloud hosting, database hosting, and email delivery) that process data on our behalf to run SilenceRadar, listed below.
• People you choose: team members you invite and anyone you give a public dashboard link to can see the metrics on the dashboards you share.
• Authorities, only when required by law, or a successor company in a merger or acquisition, with notice to you.

Our infrastructure service providers are:

• Cloudflare — runs our API servers.
• Neon — hosts our encrypted database.
• Vercel — hosts the website.
• Resend — delivers alert and scheduled report emails you turn on (these emails can contain the metrics you chose).

7. Data Protection: How We Secure Google User Data

• All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS).
• Google OAuth access and refresh tokens are encrypted with AES-GCM before they are stored, and the encryption key is kept separately as a server secret.
• Our database and hosting providers encrypt stored data at rest.
• Every request is authenticated with a signed session token, and each user can only read their own data or dashboards shared with them.
• Google Analytics access is read-only, and access to production systems is limited to the SilenceRadar operator.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

• Analytics reports are not retained: they are fetched from Google when you view a dashboard and discarded after display.
• Everything else listed in section 5 is kept only while your account is active.
• Disconnecting a Google account in SilenceRadar Settings immediately deletes its OAuth tokens and its cached property list.
• Deleting a dashboard immediately deletes its widgets, goals, alerts, annotations, and anomaly records (the aggregated data derived from your Google Analytics data).
• You can revoke SilenceRadar's access at any time in your Google Account permissions.
• To delete your account and all associated data, email info@silenceradar.com. We delete it, including from backups, within 30 days.

9. Your Rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@silenceradar.com.

10. Children

SilenceRadar is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new policy on this page with an updated date.
